FAQ
Is Nebuplus just for children with asthma?
No, Nebuplus is designed to assist children with various respiratory conditions, not just asthma. It helps provide relief and simplifies treatments for:
Allergies
Children with allergies often experience symptoms like sneezing, coughing, and difficulty breathing. Nebuplus helps deliver medication to ease these symptoms and improve breathing during allergy flare-ups.
Frequent Colds
Colds can cause congestion, coughing, and breathing difficulties. Nebuplus aids in delivering saline solutions or prescribed medications to relieve these symptoms and speed up recovery.
Bronchitis
Bronchitis inflames the bronchial tubes, leading to coughing and breathing difficulties. Nebuplus helps administer medication to reduce inflammation and make breathing more comfortable.
Cystic Fibrosis
Children with cystic fibrosis need regular respiratory treatments to manage mucus buildup in their lungs. With its compact and portable design, Nebuplus ensures they receive consistent treatment, even on the go.
Other Respiratory Conditions
For conditions like pneumonia or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Nebuplus helps deliver medication effectively, making breathing easier during treatment.
With its quiet operation, user-friendly design, and portability, Nebuplus is an excellent choice for any child needing nebulizer treatments. By making therapy more convenient and stress-free, it enhances your child's quality of life while simplifying respiratory care for the whole family.
can I only use it with prescribed medication? What do you actually put in it?
Nebuplus works with either prescribed medication or saline solution!
Saline is just a mixture of 1/2 tsp of salt and 1 cup distilled water you can make at home, that moisturises and soothes your nose and throat, making it easier to breathe.
You can use saline solution as often as needed to manage symptoms from colds, allergies, or stuffiness.
Can adults also use this?
Yes, Nebuplus is designed to be used by both children and adults. It comes with an adult mask, childrens mask and a mouthpiece to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for all ages.
How long is the battery life?
Nebuplus is powered using powerful lithium batteries that can be easily recharged using the included USB-C cable. It provides up to 60 minutes of continuous use on one charge, which is typically enough for several treatment sessions.
How do I properly clean it?
- Disassemble the Parts: Remove the medicine cup, mask, and mouthpiece from the main unit.
- Rinse with Warm Water: Rinse all removable parts (medicine cup, mask, mouthpiece) with warm water to remove any residue.
- Use Mild Soap: Wash the parts with mild soap and warm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to ensure no soap residue remains.
- Air Dry: Allow the parts to air dry completely on a clean towel. Do not use a cloth to dry them, as this can leave fibers behind.
- Clean the Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or any other liquid.
- Reassemble: Once all parts are completely dry, reassemble the nebulizer for the next use.
Regular cleaning ensures the nebulizer remains hygienic and functions effectively. Please make sure to always clean the nebulizer after each use.
Can I use it with my child's prescribed medication?
Yes, Nebuplus is compatible with most common nebulizer medications. However, always consult with your child's healthcare provider before using any new device or medication.
What if my child is afraid of using a nebulizer?
Nebuplus child-friendly design and quiet operation can help ease your child's fears and make treatment time less intimidating. The included masks are soft, comfortable, and Nebuplus comes in a fun, appealing colour to help put your child at ease.
